In Deuteronomy 4 Moses is exhorting and instructing the people who will get to enter the promised land. He calls on them to remember all the Lord has done for them in delivering them out of Egypt, sustaining them in the wilderness and giving them victory over their enemies. He reminds them that the Lord is near and they can call on Him. He also reminds them that that no one has statutes and judgments as righteous as they have in the law. He reminds them that the Lord is God and there is no other besides Him. He also exhorts them to pass on these truths to all the generations to come. This is the call of all who have been made right with God through faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. His people are to pass on His truth to each generation. Lord, help me be faithful to pass on Your truth to the next generation, beginning with my own children.
