In Acts 19, Paul comes to Ephesus and the Lord bring many people to faith in Jesus there. Paul stays there for at least 2 years teaching the disciples and reasoning with the people. God does great miracles through Paul in Ephesus and some are convinced and believe, while others do not like it. Some of Paul’s objectors start a riot trying to protect their false God, Artemis, from losing her following. The riot is put down. In verse 20, Luke records, “So the word of the Lord was growing mightily and prevailing.” This was evident, because people’s live were being changed from rejectors of Jesus to followers of Jesus. O LORD, may Your word grow mightily and prevail here at Grace Bible Church and in this community.
