In Nahum 1, the LORD assures the nation of Israel that He will bring judgment on Nineveh, the capital of Assyria. Even though the LORD used them to discipline His people, they are still responsible for their sin of oppression and more. He tells them in verse 15, “ Behold, on the mountains the feet of him who brings good news, Who announces peace.” The Lord did indeed bring down Nineveh and one day he will bring down all of his enemies and cast them into the Lake of Fire. This will happen, because of Jesus live, death, burial and resurrection. The message of Jesus is the greatest news and brings Ultimate Peace.
