Abide Together: Reflections on Psalm 19

Psalm 19 David begins by stating how God’s creation declares HIS glory. The second half of the Psalm declares how the Word of God declares God’s character and HIS plan.  Both general revelation (creation) and special revelation (God’s Word) declare God’s glory.  However, it takes special revelation through God’s Word to explain creation and God’s Plan for mankind.  General revelation cannot explain God’s Holiness, Man’s Sin, God’s Provision for Man’s Sin, and Man’s required Response to God’s Provision.  Only God’s Word (Special Revelation) can do that. As a Christian, I am called to take God’s Word to people so they might understand God’s Plan and trust in the Lord Jesus Christ as their Savior.  Lord, help me do this by Your grace.
