In Job 3, Job, in the midst of his trial cries out and wishes he had never been born.  His emotional and physical pain are so great he wants it to end.  He is honest with how he feels and cries out in his pain.  In verse 25 Job says, “I am not at ease, nor am I quiet, And I am not at rest, but turmoil.” His ease and rest will not come from his family and friends, but from God alone.  True rest can only come from God and is ultimately found in trusting in the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus for forgiveness of sin and new life.  Lord, remind me in the midst of any pain that my ultimate rest comes only through Jesus.
