Abide Together: Reflections on Genesis 6

In Genesis 6 the downward spiral of the sin of mankind has hits its peak and it is recorded, “The the LORD saw the wickedness of man was great on the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.”  The LORD then called out Noah and told him of HIS judgment to come on mankind, because of their sin.  Yet, in the midst of the announcement of the LORD’s just judgment, the LORD also provided a way to escape the judgment – through the ark.  This points to the ultimate provision to escape the LORD’s just judgment – Jesus.  Just as all who got on the ark would be saved from the LORD’s destruction of   the earth, all those who trust on the LORD Jesus’ payment for sin will be saved from the LORD’s just judgment on sin.  Lord, thank you for Your grace in saving me through Jesus.
