In Ephesians 2, Paul reminds those who have been made new in Christ what they once were and how the Lord changed them.  They were spiritually dead and unable to save themselves, God by His grace sent Jesus to save them from the penalty of their sin (the just wrath of God) and they received this grace by faith in the life, death, burial and resurrection of Jesus.  God saved them, therefore there is no room for boasting and God gets all the glory.  Lord, may I never get over your overwhelming grace.

In Ephesians 3 Paul reminds the Church of Ephesus that the Lord sent him to them to proclaim the gospel, so that they would be part of those that the Lord redeems by grace. Paul then prays for them that they would be strengthened with power in the inner man, so that Christ may dwell in their hearts through faith and they might know the love of Christ in the fullest way.  O Lord, help me continually pray for people to know the love of Christ in the fullest way and may I know the love of Christ in the fullest way.
