In Joshua 24 Joshua gathered all the people together and called for the leaders and they presented themselves before God. Joshua then reminded them of how the Lord had dealt faithfully with the people of Israel all the way from Abraham until now. He called them to commit to serve the Lord and not the gods of the land of Canaan. Joshua said regardless of what others did, he and his house would serve the Lord. The people followed his lead and committed to serve the Lord as well. The people did serve the Lord all the days of Joshua. I love that Joshua was committed to serve the Lord regardless if anyone else did. He was willing to stand alone if that is what it took to honor the Lord. Lord, by Your grace empower me to continue to serve You and lead my family to serve You as well.
