In Genesis 36 we have the record of Esau’s descendants.  At first glance there does not seem to be a lot here except a bunch of names.  But, these names and what is recorded here have tremendous importance. The end of this passage actually goes through verse 1 of chapter 37. The main point of this passage is to show that God’s Everlasting Redemption Plan would not go through Esau and his descendants, but instead it would go through Jacob and his Descendants, ultimately culminating in Jesus the Redeemer. Nothing Esau or his descendants did would stop the Everlasting Plan of Redemption from coming to pass just as God had planned from Eternity Past. Thank You Lord for fulfilling Your Plan of Redemption in spite of my sin.
