2 Chronicles 20 records an invasion on Judah by the Moabites, Ammonites and Meunites.  When Jehoshaphat, king of Judah, saw that they were about to invade Judah – he called for the people to come together to pray. The Lord answered their prayer and destroyed their enemies.  In fact the Lord told them to just watch as the Lord delivers them from the hands of their enemies.  The Moabites, Ammonites and Meunites actually turned against each other and destroyed each other.  The people rejoiced and the land of Judah was at peace.  However, after this great deliverance by the Lord, Jehoshaphat made an alliance with Ahaziah, king of Israel.  The text says, “He acted wickedly in so doing.”  This was obviously not what the Lord wanted him to do.  This act of wickedness comes right on the heels of an act of trust in the Lord.  This is a reminder that seeking the Lord and trusting Him is an ongoing process.  Lord, help me daily seek you and trust you in every situation.
