In Joshua 6 the Lord gave Joshua specific instructions on how to take Jericho. They were to march around the city 1 time for 6 days and on the 7th day they were to march around the city 7 times, blow their trumpet and shout. The Lord promised that when they did this, the walls of Jericho would fall down. He also told them not to take certain things from Jericho, these things were under a ban. Joshua led the people to obey the Lord in marching around the walls and they did just has He had commanded. The result was that the walls of Jericho fell just as the Lord said they would. The way in which the Lord had the Israelites take the city of Jericho. left room only for the Lord to get the glory. It was done in such a way that only the Lord could get the glory. Lord, help me live my life by faith in a way that only You get the glory.
