In 1 Corinthians 15 Paul shows the essential nature of the Resurrection and how it is foundational to our walk with Christ and the mission of the Church. He ends the chapter with a “Therefore” – pointing back to the Resurrection.  Paul writes, based on the truth of the Resurrection “be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.” The fact of the Resurrection and the victory it bring over sin, empowers the follower of Jesus to keep going in the ministry of the Gospel despite opposition and difficulty.  Lord, by Your Grace help me be steadfast, immoveable, always abounding in Your work, knowing that my toil is not in vain in You.
